Getting Started

The shortest route to the right Carvaly workflow.

What is Carvaly?

Carvaly is Malaysian used-car valuation and dealer decision-support software. It turns vehicle details and current marketplace context into valuation ranges, comparable evidence, confidence signals, and dealer inventory workflows.

Which product should I use first?

Use Carvaly Value if you are buying, selling, or trading one or a few cars. Use a dealer workspace if your team needs repeated valuations, saved stock records, fleet margin tracking, team access, billing, and credit controls.

Do I need an account?

Yes. An account keeps saved valuations, reports, checkout, fleet records, organization membership, credits, and billing tied to the right user or dealer workspace.

Is Carvaly for consumers or dealers?

Both. Personal users get a simpler report flow for buyer and seller decisions. Dealers get the same market-backed valuation core with organization setup, fleet inventory, team workflows, credits, and billing controls.

Anyone checking how much evidence sits behind a valuation.

Market Data

How Malaysian listing signals become market context.

Which sources are used?

Carvaly's active ingestion is built around Malaysian marketplace sources where coverage is available. Source availability can change as marketplaces, access rules, and data quality change.

How fresh is the market view?

The market index refreshes on a scheduled weekly cadence. A valuation or segment view should be read against its latest completed refresh, comparable depth, and confidence signal.

Why can market data differ from what I see on a marketplace today?

Listings can be edited, removed, duplicated, sold, reposted, blocked, or malformed between refreshes. Carvaly dedupes and normalizes listing signals, but it is not a live census of every listing on the internet.

Does Carvaly use asking prices or transaction prices?

Carvaly primarily uses active marketplace asking-price signals as market evidence. Asking prices are not treated as final transaction prices; the product shows ranges, comparables, and confidence so users can judge the evidence before acting.

What happens when a segment has very few comparables?

The result should show lower confidence or a wider range instead of hiding the uncertainty. In thin segments, widen the filters, compare adjacent trims carefully, or treat the output as a starting point rather than a final decision.

Users deciding whether a result is strong enough to act on.

Valuations

How to read the number, range, confidence, and comparables.

Is a Carvaly valuation a guaranteed sale or purchase price?

No. It is decision-support output based on market context and the inputs supplied. Condition, accident history, ownership, documents, service records, demand, and negotiation can all move the final price.

Why does Carvaly show a range instead of one exact number?

Used-car pricing is a band, not a point. A defensible result needs low, median, and high context so a buyer, seller, or dealer can negotiate inside a realistic market range.

What does confidence mean?

Confidence reflects comparable depth, similarity, recency, and spread. More relevant, recent, and similar comparable listings create a stronger signal; thin or inconsistent evidence lowers confidence.

Why can values differ from marketplace asking prices?

A single listing may be overpriced, underpriced, stale, duplicated, or attached to a specific seller strategy. Carvaly compares against a group of similar listings and weights them by market relevance instead of copying one asking price.

What vehicle details do I need?

Carvaly valuations use structured vehicle inputs: make, model, year, optional variant, transmission, mileage, condition, accident history, title status, and service records.

Private buyers, private sellers, and trade-in customers.

Carvaly Value

The simpler buyer and seller path for individual reports.

What is included in a Carvaly Value report?

A report includes a valuation range, confidence signal, comparable context, and a decision-ready read on whether the target price sits below, within, or above the fair market range.

How many reports are in the personal pack?

Carvaly Value is sold as a pack for individual buyer and seller checks. The current pack size, promotional pricing, and expiry terms are shown on the Value and Pricing pages.

Can I use a report in a seller, buyer, or dealer conversation?

Yes. The report view is designed to give you market context for an offer, counteroffer, or trade-in discussion. Export and sharing controls should be treated according to the current in-app availability shown on the result screen.

Why pay instead of checking listings manually?

You can check listings manually, but Carvaly structures the comparable review, weights similarity, flags confidence, and turns the evidence into a clear range and verdict.

Will it work for rare, imported, or classic cars?

It depends on comparable depth in Malaysia. Rare, imported, heavily modified, or classic cars may produce low-confidence output because there may not be enough similar active listings.

Dealer principals, buyers, sales managers, and pricing leads.

Dealer Workspace

How dealer accounts, valuations, and operating workflows fit together.

How does Carvaly help dealers beyond one valuation?

Dealer workspaces connect valuation, saved results, fleet inventory, expenses, margin, aging, team access, credits, and billing so pricing decisions stay connected to operations.

How long does setup take?

Dealer setup starts with account creation and a guided first valuation, then expands into workspace setup, fleet records, team access, and billing as the organization is ready.

Can a dealer run Carvaly alongside an existing system?

Yes. Carvaly does not require a forced migration. A team can begin with valuation and pricing decisions, then move fleet and team workflows over when useful.

What is the difference between Starter, Pro, and Enterprise?

Starter is designed for smaller or solo dealer workflows. Pro adds the fuller team and fleet workflow. Enterprise is for higher-volume or multi-lot operations that need custom support. The current allowances and promotional prices live on the Pricing page.

Can dealer owners control billing and workspace access?

Yes. Dealer organizations are owner-led. Billing actions and team membership are tied to the organization, and backend authorization enforces owner-only mutations where required.

Dealer teams that need shared records instead of isolated spreadsheets.

Fleet and Teams

Inventory, weekly revaluation, margin, and organization access.

Can I track costs and margin per car?

Yes. Fleet records are built around acquisition cost, expenses, current market value, asking price, sale details, and projected or realized margin.

How does weekly fleet revaluation work?

Active fleet vehicles are refreshed against the latest market index on a weekly cadence where eligible. This keeps current value, price-to-market, and aging context from going stale without requiring a manual spreadsheet update.

Does weekly fleet revaluation consume paid credits?

No. The ongoing weekly fleet revaluation job is treated separately from new user-requested valuation runs and does not consume valuation credits.

Can my whole team work inside one dealer account?

Yes. Owners can invite team members under the same dealer organization so valuations, fleet records, and billing stay inside one tenant boundary.

What happens to sold or archived cars?

Sold and archived cars stay in the workspace history with their sale details, expenses, and margin context. They stop counting as active stock but remain available for review.

Owners and users responsible for subscription or pack decisions.

Billing and Credits

What consumes credits, how plans work, and where checkout happens.

What counts as one valuation credit?

A new run of the valuation engine counts as a valuation. Saving an existing result, viewing saved history, or refreshing active fleet vehicles through the scheduled fleet job does not consume another credit.

What happens if a dealer runs out of credits?

The workspace warns owners as usage approaches the plan limit. Owners can buy top-up packs or change plan from the dealer billing area when the team needs more capacity.

Can I cancel a dealer subscription?

Yes. Dealer plans are monthly. Cancellation keeps access through the end of the current billing period, subject to the plan and billing state shown in the workspace.

Where does checkout happen?

Checkout runs through a Carvaly-owned checkout UI backed by Stripe Checkout Elements. Stripe handles payment details, while Carvaly keeps billing state connected to the user or dealer organization.

Are there setup fees or long contracts?

Public pricing is designed around monthly access with no setup fee for self-serve plans. Enterprise pricing is listed with the other dealer plans.

Users who need to defend a price after the valuation is complete.

Reports and Sharing

Saved valuations and how evidence travels with the decision.

Can I save valuations?

Yes. Personal users can keep paid reports in their account. Dealer users can save valuation snapshots into fleet or single-car records so the evidence stays attached to the operational decision.

Can I download or share a report?

Use the availability shown inside the current result screen. The valuation record itself keeps the range, confidence, and comparable context available in your account, while export and sharing controls may roll out separately from the core saved result.

Will a saved valuation update automatically?

A saved valuation is a historical snapshot of the market context at the time it was produced. Dealer fleet records can receive new weekly valuation snapshots for active stock, but the old result remains part of the history.

Can I attach a valuation to an inventory car?

Yes. Dealer workflows are designed so a valuation can be attached to a fleet vehicle, then reviewed later alongside expenses, listing strategy, price-to-market, and sale details.

Anyone using a valuation in a higher-stakes pricing or buying decision.

Limits and Methodology

What Carvaly does not claim and how to interpret uncertainty.

Does Carvaly inspect the vehicle?

No. Carvaly does not inspect the physical car, certify mileage, verify accident history, or validate ownership documents. The valuation depends on the inputs provided and the available market evidence.

Why do condition and documentation still matter?

Two cars with similar make, model, year, and mileage can sell differently if one has better service records, accident history, tyre condition, modifications, warranty, ownership profile, or buyer demand.

Can public proof numbers or testimonials be trusted?

Carvaly should only publish public proof numbers, customer names, and testimonials when they are verified and approved. Demo data and representative scenarios should be labeled as such.

What should I do if a valuation looks wrong?

Check the vehicle fields first, especially trim, mileage, year, region, and condition. If it still looks materially wrong, send support the valuation reference and what you are seeing in the market.

Anyone who needs a human response.

Support

How to get help with accounts, billing, data, or sales questions.

Who should I contact for account or report help?

Email support@carvaly.com with your account email, report reference if available, and a short description of the issue. Do not send payment card details by email.

Where should dealers check Enterprise plans?

Start on the Pricing page. Enterprise pricing is listed with the current valuation allowance, multi-lot support, API access, and seat details.

What information helps support investigate faster?

Include the page URL, account email, valuation or vehicle reference, browser/device, and the exact result or error you expected. For data questions, include the comparable listings or market examples you are comparing against.

Where can I report a possible data correction?

Send the correction to support@carvaly.com with the relevant page, valuation, or segment details. Carvaly updates methodology language and public numbers when the underlying calculation or source changes.
